Skill Level 3 – Intermediate Pilots (Experience Required)

Skill Level 3 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to assemble, set up and fly similar class models. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly models like the E-flite ElectroStreak 1.1m, V1200 1.2m, 1.2m to 1.5m warbirds, 64mm and larger EDF, or other similar class models before attempting to fly the PC-21 1.3m BNF Basic version.

They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!

Exclusive Technologies

This BNF Basic version PC-21 1.3m is equipped with a factory-installed Spektrum AR637TA+ receiver that features exclusive Spektrum AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. Enhanced AS3X+ works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! If you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, simply bind the receiver normally, and only AS3X+ will be active.

Choose Your Performance

The PC-21 1.3m is factory-equipped with a high-power brushless power system that gives you the option to choose the performance you prefer with common and popular 6S 4000–7000mAh batteries. Install the included 5-blade prop and spinner for less noise and to deliver unlimited vertical performance plus level-flight top speeds up to 100+ MPH. Or install the included 2-blade spinner and an optional APC 12x12E prop (APC12012E, sold separately) to achieve even higher speeds at significantly less current draw for longer flight times with the same batteries.

Strength and Precision

Speed is nothing without the right balance of strength and precise control. The PC-21's stunning and sleek airframe is molded in high-density EPO that results in a stronger and stiffer airframe. It's also composite-reinforced including multiple carbon fiber spars throughout the wing, fuselage and tails. Plus, it's equipped with metal-geared servos and linkages with ball-links that deliver the precise control and reliability you need to enjoy flying scale-like or fast flight after flight.

Smart Transmitter File

This BNF aircraft is equipped with a receiver that is loaded with a Smart Transmitter File (STF) that makes programming your transmitter as easy as a few clicks of a button. When you bind your NX or iX series transmitter to an STF-equipped aircraft, all programming parameters download automatically from the receiver. Switch assignments, rates, expo, telemetry, and voice callouts configure themselves. No lengthy step-by-step instructions. No continual adjustments. Just push-button convenience that gets you flying faster!

Smart Technology

The PC-21 1.3m is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart ESC that can provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including overall battery voltage and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via compatible receivers (including the AR637TA+ installed in the BNF Basic version) and Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others) while you fly. With a 7–8+ channel transmitter, you can also utilize the optional-use motor/thrust reversing to shorten rollouts after landing and for other unique ground handling capabilities.

Functional Features

Operational flaps with true-to-scale hinges and hidden linkages offer improved slow-flight capability and performance while also making it possible to take off and land in shorter distances and at slower speeds. Durable and reliable electric retracts with shock-absorbing and heavy-duty trailing link struts make it possible to fly from a variety of surfaces including pavement, dirt and short grass.

Easy Assembly

No glue is required for assembly and you can have the PC-21 1.3m ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery! With a total of eight hex head screws, the vertical stabilizer and the two-piece wing bolt into place and can easily be removed for convenient storage and transport. Plus, the horizontal stabilizers snap into/out of place without the use of any tools or fasteners.

Scale Details
